How can you help your children grow better, through music?

Raising children today is not easy.

Screens, busy schedules, pressure at school, little time to connect… all of this can leave kids overwhelmed, distracted, and struggling to regulate their emotions.

As parents, you often ask ourself:

  • How can I support my child when frustration takes over?
  • How do I help them focus, listen, and stay motivated?
  • How can I nurture their confidence and resilience in a world that often feels too fast and too demanding?

This is exactly why Tiziana created Beyond the Notes – The Family Course and I decided to join in.

WHAT YOU’LL GAIN

A 4-MODULE COURSE ON CHILDREN’S EMOTIONAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELLBEING

In this course, you’ll learn how music can:

  • Strengthen your child’s executive functions (attention, organisation, self-control…)
  • Support their emotional wellbeing (frustration tolerance, resilience, self-confidence)
  • Create a deeper connection between you and your childthrough shared experiences
  • Offer practical tools you can use at home, even beyond music lessons

The experts guiding you

This journey brings together international voices from psychology, therapy, and music therapy:

  • Flavia Capoano – Psychologist, expert in child development, Autism and behaviour analysis
  • Suzie Shapiro – Behavioural therapist at the University of Glasgow working with young adults
  • Tiziana Pozzo – Pianist, Music Therapist, Music Education Expert and mother of a 4-yo curious girl
  • Pedro Consorte – Musician and facilitator, specialised in Non-Violent Communication and Circle Music.

WHAT I WILL DO?

CHILDREN’S DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS

My session offers a comprehensive look at the emotional, social, and psychological development of young children, with a focus on the growth of executive functions such as attention, memory, self-regulation, and problem-solving.

Parents will gain practical strategies to support their child’s cognitive and emotional skills, understand typical developmental milestones, and learn how everyday interactions can foster resilience, confidence, and curiosity.

During the workshop, common questions will be addressed, such as:
• How can I help my child manage emotions like frustration or anxiety?
• What activities support attention and self-control at home?
• How do I recognize typical versus concerning developmental behaviors?

Through discussion and real-life examples, this workshop empowers parents to nurture strong, secure relationships while promoting healthy learning and emotional growth in the early years.
